Will Gull make the cut?

Hoosiers are expected to learn by this evening whether Allen Superior Court Judge Fran Gull is among the three finalists for the Indiana Supreme Court.

The Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission had planned on interviewing the 10 semi-finanlists today and Thursday. The schedule released Wednesday, however, included half-hour interviews for each of the 10 candidates today. Gull will interview at 10:45 a.m., the fifth candidate to appear.

After the interviews conclude, about 4 p.m., the commission will go behind closed doors to discuss the candidates then reappear to publicly vote on its selections.

Gov. Mitch Daniels will later choose the newest justice from among those three.
