The elderly couple told police they had been duped out of thousands of dollars and that their Social Security checks were diverted to Georgia, which gave detectives their first real clue.On Sunday evening, Warsaw police received a tip about possible drug use at an apartment on West Winona Avenue.
Narcotics investigators report seeing a woman leaving the apartment in the 500 block and that when she was stopped she had methamphetamine and Schedule II prescription drugs. according to a written statement from the Warsaw Police Department.
It said Jaclyne Messer, 26, was charged with dealing methamphetamine.
Police searched the apartment and report finding a gun and drug paraphernalia.
The case will be reviewed by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office.
