Passenger ejected from Lexus in 140 mph Warsaw pursuit

Warsaw police are looking for a black Lexus and its driver after the car was involved in a pursuit Monday night that left a passenger in serious condition, according to a report from the Warsaw Police Department.

Officers attempted to stop the Lexus at 9:18 p.m. near the northern city limits on Indiana 15 when the car fled north. The Lexus reached speeds of 140 mph, the report said. The occupants began throwing items from the windows, and as the Lexus approached Milford, it turned west on to County Road 1000 North where a passenger was ejected from the car, the report said.

The passenger, whose name has not been released, was semiconscious at the scene and told police a drug transaction had occurred and that the driver, Brandon Adkins, 27, had displayed a handgun and threatened to kill him, the report said.

The passenger was flown by Samaritan helicopter to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne in serious condition, police said. Police have not identified a female passenger in the car, the report said.

The Lexus has possible rear quarter panel damage on the passenger side and bumper damage, police said, and has a temporary license plate of C999867.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Warsaw Police Investigation Division at 574-372-9540.
