Tour de Fleece
I learned a couple of things while spinning this much for this many days.
1) I am a permanent convert. I will probably keep this up, but I might stop telling you about it every day. Instead, I might stick to letting you know when I finish something. (Unless I get a ton of comments begging me to blog about spinning on a daily basis. But, I doubt that will happen.)
2) Technique and practice matter, but so does having the right tools.
3) It turns out that spindles aren't impossible to use.
4) Ply in haste, repent at leisure. While I don't think any of my recent yarns are unusably horrible, my most recent bit of Romney seems to be a good step closer to really good yarn. This is partly because of experience but also because I approached the plying with a little more care.
Final Behm Cloth
I found myself asking questions and deciding what to do as I went along with this cloth. So, line-by-line instructions seemed like the wrong way to go. Instead, I made a flow chart. Don't panic. It's just a simple set of entrelac garter-stitch squares. Nothing to it.
