Four safely evacuate Rudisill blaze

Four people safely escaped this morning from a fire at a home at 2230 E. Rudisill Blvd., according to a Fort Wayne Fire Department report.

Firefighters were called at 3:12 a.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the one-story home. They brought the fire in the kitchen area under control in 14 minutes, the report said.

An adult and three children were outside the home when firefighters arrive, the report said. No injuries were reported.

The home had moderate fire and water damage, and heavy smoke damage, the report said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
