GARY – Indiana Supreme Court Justice Robert Rucker is seeking another 10-year term.
The Times of Northwest Indiana reports the Gary native filed papers Wednesday to run for retention on the Nov. 6 general election ballot.
Rucker, the second-ever black to serve on the court, was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1999 by Gov. Frank OBannon. He won a 10-year term in a 2002 retention election.
Justice Steven David also is seeking a 10-year term on the November ballot. David was appointed by Gov. Mitch Daniels in 2010.
