The TinCaps scored four runs in the first inning on the way an 8-3 victory against Bowling Green in front of 4,831 fans Thursday at Parkview Field.

Here are the highlights.

Key hit: Zach Kometani had a two-out, two-run single during Fort Wayne's four-run first inning. The hit gave the TinCaps a 3-0 lead.

Strong outing: Adys Portillo didn't have his best stuff, but he still gave up just one hit and one unearned run in five innings. Portillo struck out five and walked five. He improved to 6-5. Portillo lowered his league-leading ERA to 1.65.

Hits and walks: The TinCaps had 10 hits and 10 walks. Mike Gallic had two hits and walked three times. Travis Jankowski and Jace Peterson both walked twice. Matt Colantonio had three hits and two RBI.
