Tenn. man jailed in teen sex act

– A 26-year-old Tennessee man is accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl in Allen County.

Hank W. Bennett of Shelbyville, Tenn., was charged Friday with five counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.

The night of June 18, Bennett and the girl were sitting on a couch watching a movie in an Allen County home, court papers stated.

According to court papers, Bennett had sex with her. She told the sheriff’s department that she froze and did not say no or tell him to stop.

She reported that he also had sex with her June 19 and that he had sexual contact with her on June 24, court papers said.

Investigators found sexual text messages on Bennett’s cellphone that he had sent to the girl. Bennett denied having sex with her, court papers said.

He was being held Saturday at the Allen County Jail in lieu of $530,000 bail.
