Behm Wash/Dish/Anycloth 1
I had a great time knitting some Wash/Dish/Anycloths for my niece's wedding a little while ago. She loves bright colors, so I thought it would be fun to play with some unusual stripes.
Her new last name is Behm, so I'm just calling all 5 of the cloths I made for her and her new hubby Behm cloths. I'm sure it will confuse the heck out of some Germans on Ravelry (Behm is a German name), but there it is.
My gauge was 5.25 stitches per inch in Blended Stripes stitch, which I adapted from Barbara Walker's Blended Stripes stitch in A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. This makes a cloth that is 9 inches square. If you don't mind a slightly different sized cloth, however, you can work at whatever gauge you like best.
I used Kertzer's Coolspun Cotton yarn in White and Mardi Gras. I had never used this yarn before but I am now a big fan. It's lovely, soft, and comes in awesomely bright colors.
