Syracuse Rx sting ends in meth bust

Syracuse police arrested two people from Fort Wayne on Tuesday after making an undercover purchase of prescription drugs and finding a one-pot meth lab in a vehicle, Police Chief Anthony Ciriello said.

Shortly before 9 p.m., police bought pills from Stefanie Brickey, 36, and they took her into custody, Ciriello said.

Officers also arrested Justin Baker, 31, who was in her vehicle. In the vehicle, police found an active one-pot meth lab, several grams of meth, meth ingredients and needles, Ciriello said.

Brickey and Baker, both of Fort Wayne, were each booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on charges of dealing a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a family housing complex and manufacturing meth within 1,000 feet of a family housing complex.

The two were being held Wednesday, with bail amounts of $75,000.
