The Notre Dame men's basketball team will play some of the Big East's top teams on the road this season.
The Irish drew Marquette, Pittsburgh and Syracuse as road-only opponents when the conference announced this season's matchups Thursday.
Notre Dame returns all five of its starters from last year's team that went 13-5 and finished third in Big East play. The Irish went 22-12 overall and reached the NCAA tournament, despite losing All-Big East preseason selection Tim Abromaitis to a career-ending knee injury.
Notre Dame's repeat opponents for this season are Cincinnati, DePaul, Louisville and St. John's.
The Irish's home-only opponents are Connecticut, Georgetown, Rutgers, Seton Hall and Villanova, and they will also play Providence and South Florida on the road.
Big East teams have four repeat opponents this season because of the departure of West Virginia to the Big 12. Dates and times for the 18-game league schedule are expected to be released in September.
