Police: Rocks thrown at drivers from Ohio overpass

MINGO JUNCTION, Ohio (AP) — Police say juveniles on an overpass have been throwing landscaping rocks at cars on a state route that runs along the Ohio River in far eastern Ohio.

Mingo Junction police say they've received several complaints since Saturday about drivers whose windshields were cracked.

Driver Paul Morgan tells WTOV-TV in Steubenville that he was traveling along state Route 7 around 3 a.m. Tuesday when something slammed into his car with a loud pop, damaging the windshield. Morgan says he was scared by what happened and doesn't plan to travel that route until the vandalism stops.

Police Chief Steve Maguschak says officers haven't been able to identify the culprits and are asking for the public's help to track them down and end the danger to drivers.
