Decatur police seek public's help in stabbing

Decatur police are seeking information from the public regarding a possible stabbing early Sunday. About 12:25 a.m., officers were sent to the 200 block of North 17th Street, near West Monroe Street, on a report of a battery that may have involved a stabbing, police said. The victim was taken to Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur and treated for injuries that were not life threatening, police said. No other details were released. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Decatur Police Department at 724-3123.
