The dirty Palmer hit

Here's a look at the dirty hit that Ryan Palmer of Bloomington doled out on Fort Wayne's Brett Smith, in the Blaze's 2-1 victory on Friday night.

There were three other really bad hits in the game and you can see them in the hit reel of the video here.

Palmer clearly goes for the head, while Smith is in a defenseless position.

Consider what the NHL's disciplinarian, Brendan Shanahan, did for a recent clipping play: He gave a five-game suspension.

I wonder what, if anything, the CHL will do with this play.
