Hoops recruiting update

It looks as though Indiana University is getting serious about a couple of Fort Wayne boys basketball players. And one of them is not even in high school yet.

The Hoosiers have offered scholarships to Northrop sophomore Bryson Scott and Bishop Luers freshman (to be) James Blackmon Jr.

An All-SAC first-teamer, Scott has already received a scholarship offer from Purdue, while Blackmon Jr. hasn't even logged any time with the Knights, coached by his father, James Blackmon Sr.

Also, Warsaw senior Nic Moore has gotten some more offers in UNC-Asheville, Akron, Illinois State and Western Illinois. That adds to a list that includes IPFW, Evansville, Ohio, St. Bonaventure and Valparaiso.

Moore, who led the Tigers to the Class 4A state title game last season, told the Indianapolis Star he should make a choice in a couple of months.
