This is not the time to start a slump.
The Notre Dame women's basketball team lost to No. 14 Georgetown 76-66 in Washington on Saturday.
It was the No. 4 Irish's second loss in as many games, after Tuesday's 76-71 at St. John's.
Notre Dame (23-3, 10-3 Big East) was led by Ashley Barlow's 21 points in the loss to the Hoyas (22-4, 11-2), while leading scorer Skylar Diggins was held to nine points.
Notre Dame is in no danger of missing the NCAA tournament, but the Irish have likely lost a No. 1 seed.
And they sure could use wins over Marquette (at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Purcell Pavilion) and Seton Hall (at 2 p.m. Feb. 27 on the road) before playing host to Connecticut at 7 p.m. March 1 to close the regular season.
The No. 1 Huskies dominated the Irish 70-46 in Storrs, Conn., on Jan. 16.
