Drop the puck: Sims in goal

Preseason schedule begins for K's tonight

It's hockey season. Can you believe it? And have you ever noticed it gets cold out as soon as the Komets hit the ice?

The Komets are going with a very young lineup tonight in their exhibition opener against the Dayton Gems. Leo Thomas and Matt Syroczynski are the only big guns really in the lineup. Well, they're the only known commodities.

Tyler Sims is starting in net for the Komets, and Tim Haun is the backup. The best battle in camp will be between those two to earn the right to be Nick Boucher's backup.

Don't forget, I'm using Twitter from tonight's game. You can see the tweets on the front of Ice Chips, on the left pane. You may have to refresh your page to see the updates.
