Through the first half of the month, you couldn’t pick this November out of a lineup. We’ve had sunshine, mild temperatures and an almost total lack of rainfall (two weeks into the month, and our rain total is less than 0.01 inch!).
Now, November is starting to show up. Cooler and wetter conditions return today, and there are no signs of getting to 60 again in the near future. After a miserable October, I’m certainly not going to advocate complaining about it, but it is time to prepare for the inevitable slide into winter that will be taking place over the next few weeks.
Weather wise: Here’s the best way to illustrate the difference in these past two months this year: Days that failed to hit 50 degrees: October – 5, November – zero.
