Accused shooter Anthony Parrish did not act alone, investigators say.

Parrish, 19, of the 2200 block of Charlotte Avenue, shot a man Oct. 1 with the help of an accomplice, according to court documents filed Tuesday.

He faces preliminary charges of aggravated battery, criminal recklessness, carrying a handgun without a license, pointing a firearm and battery. Parrish, whose name is also spelled “Parish” in court records, is being held without bail.

A second man, Rico J. Parrish, 23, of the 2500 block of Warsaw Street, faces preliminary charges of aiding in aggravated battery, aiding in criminal recklessness and aiding in battery. He was arrested Friday and is out on bond. Court records did not say whether the two are related.

The two are accused of shooting Andrea L. Terrell, 32, in the stomach on Hessen Cassel Road on the city’s southeast side Oct. 1. He survived the shooting, police said.

Anthony Parrish was arrested Friday after a standoff outside a Brookmill Court apartment off Covington Road. That standoff, which ended in a raid, came a day after a Woodview Boulevard home was raided with officers coming up empty. Police said they thought Anthony Parrish was in that home.

Police suspect Anthony Parrish is a member of “The D Boys” gang.

Police said they have been investigating Anthony Parrish for several months and that he might have been involved with other violent crimes.

Rico Parrish was the driver of a car used in the Oct. 1 shooting, court records state.

In June, Anthony Parrish he was charged with criminal recklessness and criminal mischief.

In that case, he shot at Gregory Marshall with a .45-caliber handgun as the man delivered newspapers, police said. Marshall was unharmed, but his Chrysler PT Cruiser was damaged by bullets. Anthony Parrish was arrested in that case but was released on bond.
