Anunoby reportedly to declare for draft, hire agent

CHRIS GOFF | The Journal Gazette

Indiana forward OG Anunoby will declare for the NBA draft and sign with an agent, thus bypassing his final two seasons of college eligibility, according to a report Monday from ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Anunoby suffered a season-ending injury to his right knee in January but is still a projected first-round selection because of his athleticism and size at 6-foot-8 and 235 pounds. Despite multiple injuries as a sophomore in 2016-17, Anunoby averaged 11.1 points and 5.4 rebounds.

Goodman cited multiple unnamed sources regarding Anunoby's decision, but the Hoosiers did not immediately confirm his looming departure.

Two other IU starters, James Blackmon Jr. and Thomas Bryant, are also considered possibilities to turn pro early.
